Sir Marven Selecios came from a modest and humble background. A son of a public servant and a teacher, he taught himself how to draw and paint until he developed himself into a self-made man with multiple talents and skills--all of which, he used to serve his community.

His father, Rogelio Selecios taught him his foundational values of excellence. "My father taught me the basics and survival tactics early on in life. He was my mentor in so many things. One of his mantra that he always say to me was that I have to be 'better than who he has become' and to do 'better than what he has accomplished," Sir Marvz explained. "For a kid, it was a lot to absorb. But I think he knew he'll not stay on for long so maybe that was the reason he taught me life's foundations that early. His wisdom became my lifelong guide and I'm thankful that I got my dad who was a great man but an even greater dad."

When his father died, Marven was only 15. His mother, Aida Selecios, took the responsibility to raise him and his two siblings, Marlowe and Marianne. Their mother became their moral compass and life's constant inspiration. "Nothing can compare to my Mom's strength. It's a long story but i can probably summarize it into three: grace, generosity, and grit." She was the epitome of a strong and loving mother, for lack of a better terms, yeah, that would be an understatement." Sir Mavz quipped.
